VOLUNTEER REMINDER :
We come to this planet with nothing and leave with nothing.
God has given all of us some talents and twenty-four hours per day in
which to use them. Most of us feel a heavy obligation to provide for
our loved ones during these days.
Many who feel they have been richly blessed, often volunteer
some of these riches and time in a myriad of ways to the great benefit
of their fellow citizens. Some of the volunteers provide needed help
in health care, services to the elderly, to children and to education.
These are a few of the recipients of volunteer efforts. Habitat for
Humanity is one group that is helpful to their fellow man and is made
up mostly of volunteers. These unpaid workers are vital in providing
much needed services to others.
If one volunteers to help an organization, keep in mind he or she
is making a definite commitment. If you are unable to keep that
commitment you are obligated to inform the person in charge, of your
inability to honor your volunteered time. Volunteers are as
important to an organization as an employee is to an employer.
Someone is depending on you!
Habitat for Humanity in Clinton County is alive and well, thanks to
the dedicated help of a few volunteers. To provide for the
services needed we hope for more active volunteers. We urge those who
have not been active to renew their commitment to this worthy
organization, and we sincerely welcome newcomers to Habitat.
Hopefully, we may continue in our stated mission to help provide
adequate and affordable housing to a Clinton County family in
the near future.
